Spanish Language Web Communications Intern

This is a hands-on internship, focused on maintaining and updating UFE's Spanish-language website (www.EconomiaJusta.org), social networks, and other online vehicles. This intern will help to maintain UFE's Spanish language website on a day-to-day basis, implementing its production, under the direction of the Communications Coordinator and the Education Coordinator. 

In addition to helping UFE's Programs and other departments leverage the web to accomplish their goals, this intern will assist in the translation of our other print and electronic materials to Spanish as needed.

Skills and Qualifications
    • Proficiency with spoken and written Spanish and English 
    • Superb writing and editing abilities
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office
    • Good interpersonal and verbal communications skills for collaborating with others
    • Detail oriented, high standards for quality of work

    Helpful Experience (not required)
    • Experience working in an office setting.
    • Experience using the web as a publishing medium
    • Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator
      Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities
      • Translate English content for publishing on Spanish language website
      • Write and edit original content for website and other online vehicles
      • Conduct quality control checking regularly (e.g., spelling, grammatical and formatting corrections, reviewing comments for adherence with UFE's comment policy, etc.)
      • Monitor usage to inform new content development
      • Collaborate with staff members to consistently generate quality web content
      • Implement special projects as assigned.

      Hours are flexible, but schedule can range from 10-40 hours per week. We will provide a free monthly MBTA pass for interns working 16+ hours per week. Travel reimbursements are available for interns working below 16 hours per week.
