UFE is one of the few national organizations that trains and supports a
network of volunteer economics educators. We now have over 180 active
volunteer trainers nationwide. These trained workshop leaders conduct programs on the changing economy
across the country. UFE holds Training of Trainers Institutes several
times a year.

The Tax Fairness
Organizing Collaborative, convened in 2004 by United for a Fair Economy, is a
network of statewide grassroots organizations that are educating and organizing
for fair and adequate taxation at the state and federal levels. The
Collaborative seeks to create a long-term national infrastructure of tax
fairness organizing to complement the policy work of the State Fiscal
Analysis Initiative and the Economic Analysis and Research Network. The

We've got a special knack for transforming dry economic statistics into memorable learning experiences that connect with people's lives and lead to action. To multiply our efforts, UFE also trains and supports a national network of volunteer workshop leaders.
UFE brings together various state groups working on fair taxation in
the Tax Fairness Organizing Collaborative (TFOC). TFOC meets regularly
via teleconference and face-to-face, to discuss common issues and share

Collaboration is crucial to UFE's work of supporting and helping to build a movement for a fair economy. We work with partners in all our issue areas to ensure good communications and to integrate joint work concerning our shared interests.

UFE welcomes volunteers to help us with our economic justice work. Volunteer opportunities are most often available at our downtown Boston headquarters. Occasionally, we need volunteers to help at events across the country, ranging from Washington, D.C. to Washington state.
Typical volunteer tasks at UFE range from stuffing envelopes and helping with mailings, to database entry, staffing events, short research jobs, graphic design tasks, and web work. Currently we have a need for a Bilingual Online Volunteer.
UFE helps support economic justice efforts around the country with tools for groups and individuals. We encourage everyone to get involved and take action to the best of their abilities.
