HB3 is a disastrous bill that would amend the state constitution to permanently prevent ANY INCREASE to income taxes in North Carolina. While this may seem like a good idea to some, it would shift more of the tax burden onto working families, instead of making the rich pay their fair share.  

If this CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT is passed, it is likely that property and sales taxes will go up, just like they did in Colorado, where they tried this idea and failed years ago.  

Limiting tax revenue usually means more local cuts to schools, roads, bridges, public health, parks, and municipal services. We are tired of disinvestment and cuts to the services we need!
