Take the One for Democracy Pledge - A call to action for members of Responsible Wealth and wealthy members of the UFE community: 

Our country is built on stolen land and our democracy has never represented the voices of all Americans. However, the democracy that we have fought to make more just and fair through social movements and organizing is extremely threatened by the influence of big donors, corporations and white nationalists. Our democracy is at risk. 

UFE’s mission is to challenge the concentration of wealth and power that corrupts democracy, deepens the racial divide and tears communities apart.

Wealthy donors like you / like us can be an important part of the solution if we step up now.

We need you - your power - your voice - your networks - your money! Our ask is this: can you give MORE than you’ve planned to fight for our democracy this November? Can you rally your parents, your children, your friends, your colleagues, and/or your family foundation to follow your lead? 

Can you give 1% (or more!) for Democracy? 

Responsible Wealth and UFE have joined an effort organized by progressive organizations and donors called One for Democracy, which is asking wealthy people to sign the pledge before election day to move their resources to 501(c)(3) and (c)(4)s organizing for democracy. 

What does that mean?

We’re asking wealthy people to give 1% of your assets RIGHT NOW to commit to the future of our democracy. You might choose to give your 1% to voter registration and mobilization, or to election protections, or you might choose some other organization including UFE that work toward a more democratic society. You can also include gifts you have already given to support efforts like Black Lives Matter and other organizing for social change. Whatever you choose, we hope you’ll be bold and generous and do it now. Our democracy needs your 1% RIGHT NOW.

The goal of this effort is to raise $100 million before the election. $45 million has already been pledged from 102 people. Your one percent will be added to many many others and together we will help ensure as many people as possible participate in the democratic process.
