The RMPJC is offering a free 2.5-hour workshop called "Bankers, Brokers, Bubbles, and Bailouts: Causes and Consequences of the Financial Crisis" designed by United for a Fair Economy. The workshop describes the impact of the economic crisis on our jobs, families and communities; explores the roots of the economic crisis; reviews the trends and events that created the housing bubble and the financial meltdown; names specific policy and rule changes for an economic recovery that is sustainable and just; and identifies strategies that will build broad-based, inclusive democratic social movement to create a more equitable economy.
