UFE's Responsible Wealth Project organized our members to sign on to a letter in support of the Billionaire Income Tax as part of the Democrat's social-spending package.

In late October 2021, over two dozen trainees and facilitators attended the Training of Trainers held at the new Avila Retreat Center. This was the first time we held one of our classic training of trainers experiences in over a year. Participants followed a 3-day training on the issue of persistent and growing racial and economic inequality in the U.S.

We are sad to announce the passing of Seymour Michael Miller (a.k.a. S.M. Miller, aka Mike), one of the four founders of United for a Fair Economy in 1994. Sociologist, professor, activist, and a prolific writer, Mike touched the lives of countless students, activists, colleagues and friends.

After six years of advocating for livable wages, fighting to close the racial wealth divide, and training new organizers in the use of popular education for social change in North Carolina, we are planting even deeper roots in this state.

UFE is excited to announce the release of our "Color of Wealth 2021" infographic!

We are excited to release this infographic about the racial wealth divide. This project topic was chosen to commemorate the 15th anniversary of "The Color of Wealth," a book written in collaboration with UFE in 2006.

The UFE popular education team was back at it last weekend, hosting our first in-person training in over a year! The group was excited learn and grow from one another, dream bold new visions for the future, and share physical space in a way that we haven’t been able to for a long time.
