Despite the challenges of the pandemic, we have been busier than ever working with organizers and activists to help build and sustain movements for economic, racial, and gender justice. We are disgusted at the lack of justice in the recent jury decision that found Kyle Rittenhouse not guilty of homicide or recklessly endangering the safety of others, but we have also heard the circular, racist arguments given by white supremacists attempting to justify their actions too many times to be shocked.

UFE's Responsible Wealth Project organized our members to sign on to a letter in support of the Billionaire Income Tax as part of the Democrat's social-spending package.

In late October 2021, over two dozen trainees and facilitators attended the Training of Trainers held at the new Avila Retreat Center. This was the first time we held one of our classic training of trainers experiences in over a year. Participants followed a 3-day training on the issue of persistent and growing racial and economic inequality in the U.S.

We are sad to announce the passing of Seymour Michael Miller (a.k.a. S.M. Miller, aka Mike), one of the four founders of United for a Fair Economy in 1994. Sociologist, professor, activist, and a prolific writer, Mike touched the lives of countless students, activists, colleagues and friends.
