DEMOCRACY IN MOTION: A Community Vision for Voting Rights in Alabama

Earlier this month, Ana Delia Espino, UFE’s Director of Inclusive Economies – South, moderated a powerful Spanish-language webinar uplifting a local movement for automatic voter registration in Alabama. What might seem like a simple policy proposal is part of a much deeper story — one rooted in the long and ongoing struggle for civil rights and the full inclusion of immigrant and marginalized voices in our democracy.

At its core, the campaign affirms a simple but powerful belief: voting is a right, and making it accessible is a responsibility we all share. Panelists emphasized the urgent need for continued community action — from talking to legislators and attending events, to spreading the word within our communities.

More to come — and more ways to get involved. Mira la discusión completa aquí / Watch the full discussion here. ¡La lucha sigue!
