CONSTRUYENDO CON AMOR Y PROPÓSITO: REFLEXIÓNES SOBRE LA CAPACITACIÓN DE CAPACITADORES DE OTOÑO DE 2025

This Training of Trainers came at a pivotal time in our movement. As organizers who are on the front lines fighting for workers, immigrants, and marginalized communities here and across the world, we are in a consistent battle to remain hopeful in the face of such great challenges.

Esta Capacitación de Capacitadores llegó en un momento crucial para nuestro movimiento. Como organizadores que estamos en primera línea luchando por los trabajadores, los inmigrantes y las comunidades marginadas aquí y en todo el mundo, luchamos constantemente para mantener la esperanza ante estos grandes desafíos. 

The purpose of these training sessions is to remind us of why we fight, to give us the tools to use our skills as educators to organize the masses appropriately, and to serve as a personal reflection and grounding of our individual commitment to the work.

El propósito de estas sesiones de capacitación es recordarnos por qué luchamos, brindarnos las herramientas para usar nuestras habilidades como educadores para organizar adecuadamente a las masas y servir como una reflexión personal y una base para nuestro compromiso individual con el trabajo. 

With healing justice and popular education at the forefront of organizing, we tap into the lived experiences of our participants to motivate our desires to continue the fight for a better world, even when times may seem impossible. 

Con la justicia sanadora y la educación popular como ejes de la organización, aprovechamos las experiencias vividas de nuestros participantes para motivar nuestro deseo de continuar la lucha por un mundo mejor, incluso cuando los tiempos parezcan imposibles. 

Every training is a new experience, with new people from all walks of life. Some are veterans in the struggle, and some are brand new. We are all here for the same reason: to fight and build, with love and purpose. 

Cada capacitación es una nueva experiencia, con personas nuevas de todos los ámbitos. Algunos son veteranos en la lucha, otros son completamente nuevos. Todos estamos aquí por la misma razón: luchar y construir, con amor y propósito. 

If there is one lesson I would take from this training, it is the need for a clear and strategic vision for the way we move forward. We are living in unprecedented times, and the type of movement we build, the demands we have, and the tactics we use will be crucial in creating a new world, not just defending what we have but building something new. 

Si hay una lección que me llevaría esta capacitación, es la necesidad de una visión clara y estratégica para avanzar. Vivimos tiempos sin precedentes, y el tipo de movimiento que construyamos, las demandas que tengamos y las tácticas que empleemos serán cruciales para crear un mundo nuevo, no solo para defender lo que tenemos, sino para construir algo nuevo. 

The few days shared in our training are a reflection of the world we are building: a space where all our needs are met; where people feel safe in their bodies and identities; where we may have disagreements, but we have an open and safe space to talk and emerge even more unified than when we started. The ruling class wants to get rid of spaces like this because it is in these spaces that people can tap into their humanity and build something that is truly revolutionary.

Los pocos días que compartimos en nuestra capacitación son un reflejo del mundo que estamos construyendo: un espacio donde se satisfacen todas nuestras necesidades; donde las personas se sienten seguras con sus cuerpos e identidades; donde podemos tener desacuerdos, pero tenemos un espacio abierto y seguro para hablar y emerger aún más unidos que al principio. La clase dominante quiere eliminar espacios como este porque es en ellos donde las personas pueden conectar con su humanidad y construir algo verdaderamente revolucionario.
