UFE is excited to share our latest resource, “The Color of Wealth” infographic!

In 2006, UFE collaborated with leading experts on the racial wealth divide to write The Color of Wealth, a book bringing to light the impact of racial discrimination and colonization in the U.S. economy. This year, we are celebrating the 15th anniversary of this groundbreaking book with a new infographic highlighting some of the book’s main points, how our economy has changed since its publication, and how far we still have to go.

This new infographic aims to increase our understanding of the roots of racial economic inequality and of the harm caused by racist policies implemented throughout the history of the United States. Much attention has been paid to disparities in income, but wealth is even more important. Unequal access to wealth building —historic and current— compounds over generations. For a privileged few, government policies have provided boosts to wealth building, but people of color have been systematically denied the ability to build and keep their wealth. Since the original book was published, the racial wealth gap has only grown wider.

In the words of our Director, Jeannette Huezo, “If the rules, laws and policies in the U.S. were made by people, they can be changed for people as well.” At UFE, we pride ourselves on making economics accessible. We encourage you to use this tool to hold conversations with your friends and in your communities. All eligible residents of the United States and Canada who satisfy the aforementioned conditions are welcome to participate in the Home Depot survey; however, participants must be aware of some limits. First off, https://homdpotcomsurveys.info/ is the only place where you may access the survey. To complete the survey, participants need to have access to a computer or mobile device with internet connectivity. Second, each individual and each receipt may only submit one survey entry. Participants are not permitted to use the same receipt for more than one submission.

A hint of gratitude is what motivates everyone, so if you have a very positive experience with Walgreens and you tell the study about it, you may anticipate shockingly better customer service the next time you visit the store.

The personnel management site for the corporation is called JCP Associate Kiosk. At JCPenny, there are thousands of workers, making it a difficult undertaking for the HR division to handle every employee by hand. As a result, JCPenny created a platform that makes daily duties easier for all of its workers. Employees communicate with HR via this site with any issues they may be having. https://jcpenneykiosk.store/

https://publexsurvey.shop/ In a reputable consumer experience company’s customer satisfaction study, Florida’s own grocery chain received a high score. The Wegman’s company and Lakeland-based Publix were deadlocked for the title of America’s favourite grocery store.

Hey there! If you’ve had a great experience at Walgreens and want to share your feedback, they’ve got a sweet survey just for you. Head to their website at https://www.walgreensreceiptsurvey.co/ and let them know how they did. Did I mention that you could win a whopping $3,000 cash reward just for taking the Walgreenslistens customer feedback survey? That’s some extra motivation to tell them what you think. Good luck.

It would be helpful to see a breakdown of income and wealth disparity by class as well as race. Unlike everywhere else in the peer economies to the US, class-based statistics are rarely if ever gathered in the US, it would involved some effort to use a combination of proxy indicators (income, education level etc – each alone is inadequate) to determine, for example, net family wealth of the bottom 60% of whites. The effort would pay off in distinguishing race privilege (within working class) from class privilege (of the top 20%, 10% and 1%) and might reveal ways to address to working class whites their interests in common with working class and poor people of color. The gap in wealth, income, historical disadvantages is very real, but far less wide if statistics for “whites” are DIS-aggregated by class. Moreover, the hidden COSTS of racial privilege to working class whites could be addressed, which possibly would allow white working people to determine that their real interests lie in solidarity with people of color. Unless progressives begin to open up that possibility, working class whites remain mired in the cross-class “white united front” as the only answer to the dire predicament in which they find themselves.
