UFE's popular education team held a series of successful workshops at the United Association for Labor Education's 2018 Conference.
The two part workshop covered popular economics. Participants explored the role of popular education their own work as movement builders. Tools were shared that educators took home to use with their communities.
At this same conference, UFE's Executive Director, Jeannette Huezo, presented the Conference's 2018 Special Award to Hugo Romero. Hugo accepted on behalf of the Dream Resource Center at the UCLA Labor Center, of which he is a part.
Hugo Romero led Dream Summer, the first national fellowship program for undocumented youth. We at UFE are proud to celebrate Hugo Romero, the Dream Resource Center, and immigrant youth who are “Undocumented and Unafraid.”
